Don Meij
Chief Enthusiasm

From pizza delivery driver to pizza store entrepreneur, to Group CEO and Managing Director of Australia’s largest and first publicly-listed pizza chain - Domino's. Don Meij has proven passion, dedication and a keen business sense mean everything when it comes to climbing the corporate ladder.

After starting as a pizza delivery driver in 1987 in Redcliffe, Queensland, for Silvio’s Dial-a-Pizza while studying to be a high school teacher, Don fell in love with the business and has since slowly worked his way up the ranks.

"Our determination to be the market leader for digital innovation has already seen us achieve almost 60% of sales online and, over the next three years, we want to grow this to 80 percent delivering,” Don said.

Preferring the title Chief Enthusiasm Officer, Don brings to life the wise words “expect more than others think possible.” And what does pizza have to do with our real estate and finance? Like our Group, Don has applied big data principles, new technologies and new engagement techniques to build one of Australia's most successful businesses.

John Maclean
Motivational speaker

Transformation is about choice, change and adaptability. John Maclean embodies transformation.

During fitness training near his hometown in June 1988, John was hit by an 8 tonne truck as he rode his bike. The impact resulted in John suffering multiple breaks to his pelvis and back, a fractured sternum, punctured lungs, a broken arm, and left John a paraplegic.

It took astonishing courage and determination, but somehow this near-fatal accident was the making of him. John chose never to be defined by his wheelchair. He adapted to life in a wheelchair by pushing extraordinary boundaries in sporting achievement as a wheelchair athlete. He consciously challenged and changed his belief system.

In 2014 John embarked on his most extraordinary transformation to date, leaving the wheels behind and completing The Nepean Triathlon as a conventional athlete. Today, he is Australia's most sought after motivational speakers and in August he joins Connect.
